Our mission

About Us

Psychologists On Demand was founded to address the challenges faced by clinicians working in remote and solo private practice. Our service offers a responsive and compassionate solution for psychologists managing client overflow, taking leave, or navigating emotional fatigue.

At its core, Psychologists On Demand is dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of practitioners while maintaining quality, consistent care for our clients. We take a systems-informed approach to mental health – recognising that cultural, organisational, relational, and personal factors all play a role in wellbeing.

Grounded in trauma-informed, relational, and evidence-based practice, Psychologists On Demand aims to promote sustainability, ethical service delivery, and continuity of care across the profession.

Psychologists On Demand was born from my own journey as a clinician and my deep understanding of the challenges faced by those working in remote or solo private practice. I have always been passionate about the intersection of organisational and clinical psychology, with a special interest in compassion fatigue and burnout — themes that have shaped both my personal and professional life.

My own experience of burnout, following workplace bullying, prompted me to redefine my purpose within the profession. Through voluntary work with the Black Dog Institute’s Hand-n-Hand program, I reconnected with clinicians and heard firsthand the struggles they face: long waitlists, ethical responsibilities, and the lack of continuity of care for their clients when clinicians take leave.

These conversations, along with my work in remote settings and peer supervision, helped shape the vision for Psychologists On Demand. My practice today is grounded in trauma-informed, relational, and evidence-based care — with a strong focus on sustainability, ethical service delivery, and supporting those who dedicate their lives to supporting others.
